| This isn't a fair competition. Obviously it is either the BMW Z4, or the Porsche Boxter. But, if you figure cost into it. You can build a Miata that will kick the shit out of any of those for much cheaper than you would pay for them. Stock for stock, obviously the $40,000 car's will beat the $20,000. | |

| But s2k's are 3 times as much as Miata's! Also, Miata's are lighter. | |

| your  doesnt work on this site sir, and i know what your saying, because the miata is 500 pounds lighter then the s2k that it automatically makes it better, but not when the engine in the miata is a underpowered bastard, compared to the s2k which makes over 100 more hp + or - a few due to which engine and which generation you are comparing, but again stock vs stock most likely the s2k is better | |

| I didn't intend for  to work, it doesn't work on any forum. And you don't get what I'm saying. You can't compare a Miata to these roadsters. To compare an S2K or Boxter to a Miata you'd have to use an NC, because that is a little heavier, more powerful, more expensive, and is more of a cruiser. | |

| in 09 the base price for an s2000 was 35g and the miata was 22.5g so yeah for 12.5 grand you get a better car. | |

| Exactly, it's obvious that the car is better. But I'm saying that it's unfair to compare them directly. You could take that 12.5k and put into chassis stiffening, suspension, and power and it would kick the living shit out of an S2K or a Boxter. A Miata is hands down the best driver car for the value. I'm not saying they are better than S2K's or Boxters, but for the value they are much better. | |
