Hi all. Michael here.

New to the group. From the BF.c forum. I'm one of three partners in a DIY garage called FirstGear Garage located in Minnesota. We're are car nuts, but the garage is really for everyone. We came up with the idea about two years ago while at are locate race track. We kept hearing people say, "If I only had a lift". We took a chance and built one of the most professional DIY garages in the country. Please join our twitter page or Facebook page and help support the DIY'er. We want to grow this concept for everyone to enjoy.

Our current build is a 1995 e36 s52 swap M3. We're preparing it for SCCA and NASA this year. We're also going to be running an e30 BMW in chump car too. Our build thread. Our other cars include: Nissan GTR, E30 M3, Porsche GT3, 355 Ferrari. We are REAL DRIVERS!

We have a lot of racing, performance driving and car repair background.

Thank you for the invite.

Thanks.

A lot of money and time goes into a startup like this. You don't just open the doors and have customers lining up, you'd think. Customers or visitors love the idea, but they're are many walls along the way. It's not like opening a McDonald's, this is a whole new business catagory. Once done in the late 70's, early 80's. They failed because of a lack of business planning.

Wish us luck. We've completed our first year and are making a profit. Whew!

Wow, that is excellent! First year profit figures for most companies of any sort are usually still usually in the red!
